I teach our very large Introduction to Psychology course at the University of Toronto Scarborough. I'm a bit of an education nut, and my research focuses on finding effective technologies for helping students develop their core skills. These include cognitive skills like critical and creative thought, intrapersonal skills like metacognitive awareness, interpersonal skills like communication and collaboration, and also hands-on skills such as though critical to many professions (e.g., nurses, engineers, performers). I am co-creator of peerScholar, a cloud-based technology for both skill development and skill measurement. I have thankfully received several awards at the institutional, provincial and national levels for my impact on higher education ... thank you!
