Description

I help CEOs and HR professionals achieve happy, healthy, productive individuals and teams through science-backed tools.
I have workshops to improve staff productivity, motivation and team dynamics. My company wellbeing membership utilises a ‘biofeedback’ device to improve staff wellbeing and consists of monthly topics with a webinar, workbooks, staff engagement and much more. I also work 1-1 with individuals to support; stress, work-life balance, lifestyle, routine, anxiety, trauma (EMDR trained), imposter syndrome, family support (parenting and child/family therapy) and sleep (CBTi trained).

Local engagement analysis

Challenge Outline:How to get more businesses to sign up to wellbeing support? One of the challenges we are facing is that since the pandemic businesses are aware of the need to have something for wellbeing. There is lots of research about how being preventative rather than reactive is better and more cost effective, but yet businesses are still reluctant to sign up. There are still sceptical senior leaders who don't see the value in having support for the team, the individuals and how this impacts on productivity.Key aims/objectives:1. How can we pitch wellbeing support to companies so that it taps into their pain points (staff retention, presenteeism, productivity, performance)?2. How do we get more businesses onto our website and social media (we currently get most business through word of mouth)?

Local engagement analysis

Challenge Outline:How best can I expand my network of clients in the local area (Brighton, Hove, West Sussex)?By surveying local businesses (of varying sizes), please investigate what wellbeing support companies currently offer their staff, how popular their support is with their staff, whether it makes a different to staff retention/sickness/performance and what contrast there is between the support offered between different sized businesses (<10 staff vs 10-50 staff vs 50+ staff)Key aims/objectives:1) Using the list of contacts provided, create a short list of questions and contact each business to survey their responses on their provision of wellbeing services with their staff and the direct impact this has on the staff (making sure not to request ANY personal data/information)2) With the data you have collected, analyse your findings and explain how different local businesses provide wellbeing support to their staff. What have they got that is working? What isn’t making much difference? Are there services that some companies provide that other businesses do not?3) Make some recommendations about what wellbeing services are working well and which are not4) Recommend ways in which I could offer my services to these businesses, and what topics of support I should focus on when networking with them

Gamification to improve individual's wellbeing

We have identified 3 types of people: those who are good with wellbeing, those who are ok but not consistent and those who don't do much to help improve their wellbeing. We are targeting the last group with a view of improving their wellbeing in a natural way without telling them what they already know (exercise eat healthy etc). We would like to find out: 1. if there are any similar organisations that engage with this specific group via games; and if so, please summarise the positives and negatives of their games, and make recommendations 2. looking more broadly at leading wellbeing games (e.g. online or in the app store), are there any common themes that lead to their success? Please summarise some positives and negatives of their games, and make recommendations 3. as university students, if you could create a game to help you with habits and improving your wellbeing, what would you include? 4. how do other similar organisations target this specific group more broadly (please look at existing company websites and information rather than conduct primary research due to time restraints) Due to time restraints, please do not conduct primary research or surveys. Using your critical-thinking and research skills, students should review existing literature, research, and data to make recommendations.

How can companies best support working parents?

Within the current climate of school strikes, it is even more difficult for working parents to balance work and home life. I would love to know what companies are doing to support parents (flexible working, paid carer days, childcare, parenting support etc.)

Throughly enjoyed working with Rhiannon and Claire from InspireYou. I enjoyed being able to think creatively and critically to fulfil the brief given. Thank you for all your support during the programme. Also really enjoyed talking with you after the presentation and hearing information about the current support targeting working fathers.

The University of Sussex is very grateful to Inspire You for hosting yet another student group as part of our Student Consultancy Programme. They provided an interesting live business challenge for students to tackle part-time over a 4-week period. The majority of students taking part in the programme are from underrepresented backgrounds, often with low confidence, and they provided a supportive space that empowered students to develop transferable skills, including team work, communications and delivering a business-style presentation. Thank you again for taking part in the programme.
