Hi! Iβm Shirley!
π Background: I'm a passionate third-year software engineering and business student at Western University. Having lived and thrived in Canada, China, Japan, and France, I've donned hats as a software developer, consultant, math tutor, digital marketer, and designer. This rich tapestry of experiences across 4 countries has not only refined my technical, creative, and business acumen but also shaped me into a versatile communicator and a swift learner.
π Career Highlights:
- Proudly stood among the 3.8% accepted into the Cansbridge Fellowship, pushing me towards an enriching AI software internship experience in Tokyo this past summer.
- Always on the lookout for opportunities that intersect business and technology, particularly in the start-up realm. As a testament, I hold the position of a campus director for the Hult Prize Award.π± Sustainability, AI, Start-ups: Passionate about making a difference, I am gearing up to organize a sustainability forum this November as a director in Global Spark. Highly intrigued by climate topics and AI's role in it, I am drawn towards roles that fuse technology, especially AI, with sustainability initiatives.
π Interests & Adventures:
Travelling (travelled solo to 8 countries and 34 cities last year), photography (took an average of 100 photos per day for three months), playing GuZheng (a Chinese instrument that I practiced for 10+ years), reading, skiing, and cooking (I can cook my eggs in 10 ways!).π£ Language: English | Mandarin | Cantonese | French | Japanese (... in progress)
