AHF connected our company with five students, all of whom were very intelligent individuals with dynamic personalities, and fascinating stories about how UX design has become their objective. In all honesty this was a difficult internship compared to others our company has undertaken with different organizations. In particular, it was difficult to organize meetings in which all members could attend, without having to go outside of our company's work hours. In the future, I think AFH could benefit from strategizing solutions to this issue before connecting students with companies. Perhaps matching not only based on alignment of interests and sector, but also matching candidates based on their schedules and the work hours of the organization. Additionally, it was clear that the amount of training in Figma which was provided before the internship was quit limited, and I gather that this was in part also due to scheduling issues between the course and an instructor. All in all I appreciate that these are difficulties which arise in any continuing education course, especially one which caters to adults who have busy lives, however, I believe improvements could be made. Otherwise, thank you to Simran for your organizational work and attention to detail, and to the students for your openness, interest, and in particular your detailed journey maps.
