Join HENRY in His Quest to Make the Fashion Industry Ethical - Marketing + Sales

Let us redesign the fashion industry together into a sustainable and ethical industry! PROJECT DESCRIPTION:HENRY is a sustainable clothing brand and e-commerce focused on tackling some of the foremost ethical issues in the clothing industry. In 2017, Henry — the personification of the HENRY brand — noticed some problems with how clothing is traditionally manufactured and produced. For one, cotton was largely untraceable and not ethically produced. And, most clothing companies couldn't validate claims about their products and ethical practices. Henry thought brands should know where their products come from, who created them, the conditions under which they were made and their impacts on the environment. So he made his own.Designed in Switzerland, the United States and Canada, shipped worldwide and produced in the United Kingdom, HENRY's T-shirts are plastic-free and made of organic material from old T-shirts. They're organic, contain no plastic, no animal-derived products and do not test on animals. In this way, Henry's production process is continually renewable — his T-shirts are part of a circular economy. Moreover, HENRY's clothes are traceable, meaning you can look in-depth at the supply chain they came from and find out how they're made, who makes them and how they got to you. Henry produces shirts for people of all ages and genders because he wants to ensure everyone can be a part of his mission. Now, Henry needs some help spreading the word about his mission. That's where you come in. As a student intrapreneur working with the HENRY brand, you'll be responsible for either:designing and developing creative visual contentconnecting with Henry's friends and followers around the world on social media;emailing the latest sustainability news and information about Henry's clothes to his contacts;identifying and approaching businesses who could be Henry's future clients; orpinpointing what Henry's friends need and want from their clothes and setting goals for his brand accordingly. You'll also be working with Conexkt, who launched HENRY in 2017. Conexkt is a global innovation studio committed to co-creating positive and meaningful changes. Working with Conexkt, you'll have flexibility and independence to exercise your creative visions, support from all sides when you need it and will be surrounded by experts continuously committed to improving themselves and their fields.HOW MANY STUDENT INTRAPRENEURS WILL THIS PROJECT ACCOMMODATE?This project will accommodate 5 student intrapreneurs.TIME COMMITMENT PER STUDENT 70 hours per studentKEY PROJECT ACTIVITIES/TÂCHES ASSOCIÉES AU PROJET:Identifying and approaching prospective B2B clientsDesigning visual content for emails and social media postsScheduling and uploading Instagram and Facebook postsResponding to comments, questions and concerns on Instagram and FacebookWriting direct marketing emails to Henry's contactsSourcing content for direct marketing emailsScanning the media for sustainability newsIdentifying user needs and using them to determine broader business objectivesIDEAL ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES/:*Please note appropriate projects can accommodate most students, regardless of field of study or experience. Design the "Conexkt Days 2021" - Online Conference on Innovation

The challengeHere's something you've heard before: 2020 was an unprecedented year. As the COVID-19 pandemic forced us to self-isolate at home, how we conceptualize and engage with creativity, work, collaboration, ethics, food, community, sustainability — everything — changed. We were in an innovation crisis. For that reason, Conexkt hosted its inaugural Conexkt Days: a five-day virtual speaking event featuring experts from around the world sharing insights and strategies for navigating this new environment. Now, it's time for round two — only, this year, we have new questions to answer. Questions like:What will the future look like? What do ethical development and innovation entail in 2021?How have the events of the last few years changed the course of the future? How do we best prepare ourselves, our projects, our communities and our organizations for the decades to come? These questions are the foundation of Conexkt's second annual Conexkt Days series. In a phrase, we need to become future-proof.And we need your help.HOW YOU CAN HELP: As a student intrapreneur working on the Conexkt Days: Future-proof event, you'll be responsible for planning, scheduling, promoting and moderating this 2-3-day speaker series. You'll reach out to potential guests and hosts, publicize the event on Instagram, Facebook and the Conexkt website, keep track of RSVPs, respond to inquiries, moderate the live talks and Q&A sessions and upload the final discussions to YouTube. You and your fellow intrapreneurs are the directors; Conexkt Days: Future-proof is your film.Plus, project management, digital communication and organization are some of employers' most sought-after skills in today's job market. Your work on Future-proof will prepare entrepreneurs for their future — and it'll prepare you for yours, too.Working with Conexkt, you'll have flexibility and independence to exercise your creative visions, support from all sides when you need it and will be surrounded by experts continuously committed to improving themselves and their fields. The future is approaching. Saving Edelweiss Village with Digital tools — Grant and Proposal Writing.

BC's history is in jeopardy. In the early 1900s, the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) employed Swiss mountain guides to take tourists through the mountains in Golden, BC. To make them more comfortable, the CPR constructed six Swiss-style chalets in an assemblage called Edelweiss Village. Since then, Golden BC — and Edelweiss Village — have been a draw for visitors from around the world and a cornerstone of community history. Now, though, the homes making up Edelweiss Village are for sale. Unless we can find a way to preserve them, the history they represent and the stories they hold are doomed to vanish. So, we asked ourselves: how might we tell Edelweiss Village's stories and preserve its history without possessing the buildings? The solutionWe've decided to digitally simulate Edelweiss Village through the years with the help of the Time Machine project.Initiated in Venice, Italy, in 2013, the Time Machine project aims to create "a collective digital information system mapping...economic, social, cultural and geographical evolution across times." It's not a simple slideshow or video simulation — it's a living, breathing digital infrastructure that will let visitors explore the essence of Edelweiss Village at any time, and from anywhere in the world, through technology. Here's our preliminary plan for making the Edelweiss Village Time Machine a reality: https://www.beautiful.ai/player/-Mh-S4fnrWOBfSjaGGlrHow you can helpDigitally preserving six buildings is no small task — we'll need support from organizations with a reverence for history. As a student intrapreneur with the Edelweiss Village Time Machine project: - you'll be responsible for developing a detailed project outline containing a comprehensive list of milestones. - You'll source entities who financially support cultural and/or architectural preservation projects and let them know why they should care about this Golden pillar. - And, you'll get in touch with virtual and augmented reality companies to find the people we can entrust with this precious piece of history. As part of this project, you'll be working with Conexkt — who has been involved with similar projects, like the Valais-Wallis Time Machine, since 2017. Working with Conexkt, you'll have flexibility and independence to exercise your creative visions, support from all sides when you need it and will be surrounded by experts continuously committed to improving themselves and their fields.BC's history is in jeopardy. The Ethical Dilemma - Helping HENRY stay ethical and sustainable!

The goal for this student group is to help HENRY (a textile brand) with its ethical challenges. HENRY was already set up as an ethical business, to challenge the problems of fast fashion. HENRY sells organic, traceable clothes that are made in an ethically accredited wind-powered factory. It doesn't use plastic and inks derived from animals.Nonetheless,  HENRY struggles with an underlying ethical question:  Considering climate change, should we even keep on selling clothes - even if it is sustainable and from a circular economy - knowing that there are enough already-existing clothes around the world? In a way, the answer to fast fashion might not even be slow and ethical fashion, but a change of mind regarding clothing and consumerism. A lot of people should not buy new clothes and could use old existing clothes in the long run.But how should HENRY resolve these ethical questions by creating a sustainable business, also in terms of finances?
