Implementing F8th with external company's software
Your task over the semester will be to implement F8th's system with an external company's software. You will work together with F8th to create a seamless integration where using F8th's MFA with Duo's MFA will happen at the same time. While you wouldn't be accessing the backend of either of these systems, you will be using F8th's SDK and inserting it into Duo's in a way where by integrating Duo's platform, F8th's will automatically start working alongside it. There are a few potential languages you'll be working with. Specifically PHP and C# are the most likely, although there's a chance you may get to work with Python and Java as well.

The main goal of the project will be to determine the steps required to set up a mirror USA (Delaware) company of a Canadian (Federally incorporated) company. As well, provide academic analysis with respect to the same. Knowledge of American and Canadian Corporate Law, Business Organizations(Incorporation), Tax(Cross-border). Background and experience in M&A, start-up companies, information security, technology, Silicon Valley culture, legal framework of Canadian parent companies/subsidiaries operating in the United States, is valued, but not required. Overall, students should be familiar with the Canadian and American legal system(s).
Legal-Regulatory Compliance Management Project
The main goal of the project will be to develop a Regulatory Change Management inventory of laws, regulation and regulatory guidance documents with respect to Biometric Data, AI Technologies and Privacy. - List all regulations, standards and policies into an inventory (Google Sheet) that could affect the product or the company. - Monitor all regulations, standards and policies regarding the product and operations (same Google Sheet). - Create a summary of the research and investigation completed (Google Doc). What are the reviewable jurisdictions? The student(s) will review legislation, laws, regulations and regulatory guidance documents with respect to the following jurisdictions: Canada (Federal)(All Canadian Provinces & Territories) USA (California Consumer Privacy Act - CPA)(Notable/Significant State legislative change) EU (General Data Privacy Regulation) Students should be familiar with Canadian (e.g. PIPEDA, Bill 64) , American ( CCPA ), and European Union legislative systems ( GDPR ).
Penetration Testing - Cyber Security
Description F8th Inc. provides more protection with less complication. F8th Inc. creates a solution that people actually want to use due to its convenience, simplicity, and absence of friction. By analyzing how people use their mouse, keyboard and touchscreen, the F8th solution collects thousands of data points such as clicking speed, mouse speed, angle of the curve of the mouse, and typing cadence. Then, the artificial intelligence uses this data to create a behavioural biometry that can uniquely identify each user through their session while maintaining their privacy.

The main goal of the project will be to develop legal and compliance documents as well as assist the Chief Legal Officer and the Co-Founder of the company in filling Security Questionnaires for Software Licensing and validation. Background and experience in information security, technology, privacy, cybersecurity, policy development, regulatory, compliance, financial services, banking, regulatory, corporate, audit, human resources, and operations is valued, but not a requirement. Overall, students should be familiar with the Canadian legal system and policy development and execution.

Existing document revision provided by the company such as Shareholder Agreement, NDA, IP Assignment, Confidentiality Agreement, Independent Contractor Agreement, Sales Agreement, By-law Agreement, Employment Agreement, Development Service Agreement and much more. Student must be familiar with the laws according to Canada's legal system. RESOURCES Access to the following will be provided to the students/interns working on the project: Zoom meetings with the professor and the student on a bi-weekly basis (as per request) Access to documents students will be required to work on through Google Drive Constant interaction between the development manager and the student The student will work on creating new documents as well as editing existing documents related to the legalities of the company. PROJECT: We will provide you with our current customer pitch deck and our investor pitch deck.
