I am very disappointed with my experience with Jennica. After looking at other reviews from other company's I see that my experience wasn't an anomaly. I am not realizing, that regardless if the work is completed, if the student marks it as complete they will get paid the honorarium, which is disappointing. We tried to keep the communication lines open and gave her quite a bit of freedom to work on the tasks. Ultimately, we received poor, incomplete work 1-2 weeks before the due date. We were promised by her that it would be fixed. After trying to provide feedback and remind her of the project scope, we have got nowhere. This was our first experience with using Riipen and hiring an intern. We were very disappointed!

I had worked with them on a previous project and it went well. However with this project there were a lot of errors made, and repeatedly made even after feedback was given. Only some of the completed project can be used, as there were errors in it, or content that does not relate to our business.

I'm uncertain if Jennica took on more than she could chew (with multiple levelUp projects at once plus work and studies) but our experience with her in this project was not a positive one. The mandate seemed clear - creation of a library of images of people using the product (which is smart phone based, so at a minimum photos with a person holding a smart phone even if you can't see the screen) that we could use in social media and marketing. But even though examples of what we were after were highlighted, and requests were made for regular weekly touch points and weekly delivery of potential shotlists and images taken, there was a lack of communication from the intern that would mean we would not hear from her for weeks at a time, not even by email to update progress or to ask clarifying questions. When we got the images finally they ended up being a strange combo of landscape holiday snaps, selfies and family photos, none of which we could use as a brand for marketing. I think regular communication from the intern would have helped avoid this.
