Outreach Coordinating

We are looking for assistance in organizing a outreach in support of our mission of empowering students as initiators of change in addressing today’s social and environmental concerns.We believe this project will include:Participating in outreach training and promotions during key datesPutting together research via our database for lecture schedulesDelivering lecture announcements to classrooms about Regenesis, who we are, what we do, and why to support usDistribute promotional materials to studentsAttending events to share with people more information about Regenesis, how to get involved 

Content Creation for Sustainability Initiatives (Winter 2024)

The primary goal for this role is to take responsibility for all content creation, with a strong emphasis on producing engaging and impactful reels, and graphics using tools like Canva and Adobe Creative Suite. The aim is to effectively promote and market sustainability initiatives, conveying their importance and impact to a wider audience through compelling multimedia content.

Grant, Impact and Report Writing (Fall 2023)

The main goal for this project is to effectively manage and enhance the grant application process, ensure accurate and up-to-date grant information through research and database maintenance, compile comprehensive annual impact reports for Regenesis and partner organizations, and actively report and track the impacts of funded projects. Additionally, maintaining clear and timely communication with funders by providing essential event-related data and information is a crucial aspect of this role.

Circular Economy Initiatives & Events (Fall 2023)

The primary goal for this role is to lead and oversee the implementation of three key circular economy initiatives within our Reuse Centre: Free Store, Borrowing Centre, and Repair Café. These initiatives aim to eliminate wasteful practices, promote the principles of the circular economy, and contribute to a more sustainable and resource-efficient future. Additionally, the role involves marketing and organizing events to enhance awareness and participation in these initiatives.

Food Justice & Food Sustainability

Regenesis York is a dynamic environment organization that implements community projects that support environmental sustainability and social justice at York University. We currently operate a number of environmental initiatives on campus, including Regenesis YUM! Market, a weekly market that offers a variety of good, healthy and sustainably produced sweet and savory foods and condiments; as well as arts & amp; crafts items made by students on campus. The goals of the Regenesis YUM! Market is to enhance food accessibility and promote sustainability that is environmentally and socially just.The market is on every Tuesday from 11-4pm in the Breezeway on Glendon Campus and  on every Wednesday from 12-6pm in the Victor Phillip Dahdaleh Building on Keele campus. The market is not held during exam periods, reading weeks or public holidays.

Communications Coordinator

Successful completion of the position will be determined by the effort provided, quality of the materials produced and the amount of publicity garnered for the organization. Key goals for the organization for the year include successful revamping of our website, increasing media exposure for the organization and the completion of relevant membership, chapter and project support materials.

Chapter Development (Fall 2023)

The primary goal is to develop local chapters by organizing meetings, networking with activists, creating promotional materials, and maintaining a website with support from the main organization. This includes initiating and overseeing local initiatives, promoting community engagement, and ensuring regular communication with the main organization. Collaboration with the main organization is essential, especially in identifying potential funding sources, all aimed at advancing Regenesis' mission.

Fundraising & Public Relations

Regenesis is a campus environmental non profit organization that believes in empowering students as leaders in addressing today's social and environmental concerns. In this particular project, we will kick off our first public fundraising campaign for Regenesis. The funds secured in this project will help fuel different sustainable initiatives that Regenesis runs year around.
