This course gives students the opportunity to practice and apply the knowledge they have gained to create a real-world iOS or Android application. The students will create a proposal for their development project and submit it to their instructor and the company for approval. Once approved, students will develop and demonstrate their project with a final presentation. Students will design and develop either an Android or iOS app using the relevant technologies for each platform. If a company is interested in both platforms, 2 groups may be assigned to them (one for Android, and one for iOS) if enough students are available. Pay or stipend is optional but appreciated, if the company's budget permits. Companies should have an idea of their costs for launching their project (e.g. domain name, server).

Students will design and implement both a front-end and back-end website or web application for your organization. The application is required to use front-end components (React.js) and back-end services on a Node.js platform. This course gives students the opportunity to practice and apply the knowledge they have gained to create a real-world web application or website. The students will create a proposal for their development project and submit it to their instructor and the company for approval. Once approved, students will develop and demonstrate their project with a final presentation. Students are able to work in small groups with defined roles for each student (e.g. designer, project manager, front-end developer, or back-end developer) and a designated liaison to communicate with the company. Pay or stipend is optional but appreciated if the company's budget permits. Companies should have an idea of their costs for launching their project (e.g. domain name, server).

Students are available immediately for part-time or full-time hours. Internship length is flexible, with an ideal starting point of 100 hours and a maximum of 480 hours. Students can work individually or in small groups, based on the needs of the company. Grant Funding Opportunity: Employers based in British Columbia may be eligible for the New Ventures BC Innovator Skills Initiative Grant , which offers grants of up to $5,000 per 4-month term to employers who hire post-secondary BC students for tech-related roles. Internship Requirements: Hourly or salary/stipend wage (BC minimum wage or higher) for hours worked Canadian organization 2 short school work experience documents filled out by the company: Host Agreement, and Final Performance Evaluation Tasks related to marketing
