Trained in digital marketing, our students are ready to work with your team to help you achieve your marketing goals by developing and implementing focused strategies.

Students are available immediately for part-time or full-time hours. Internship length is flexible, with an ideal starting point of 100 hours and a maximum of 480 hours. Students can work individually or in small groups, based on the needs of the company.

Grant Funding Opportunity:

Employers based in British Columbia may be eligible for the New Ventures BC Innovator Skills Initiative Grant, which offers grants of up to $5,000 per 4-month term to employers who hire post-secondary BC students for tech-related roles.

Internship Requirements:

  • Hourly or salary/stipend wage (BC minimum wage or higher) for hours worked
  • Canadian organization
  • 2 short school work experience documents filled out by the company: Host Agreement, and Final Performance Evaluation
  • Tasks related to marketing

Expected outcomes and deliverables

Students will learn the defined goals and targets of each organization, and ensure that they communicate regularly and effectively with their project team to meet the expected requirements. The delivered results will depend on the needs of each individual company/project.

Requirements

Our marketers are able to provide an array of digital marketing skills, or focus on areas that are most important to your organization.

Areas covered in the diploma are:

  • Social media marketing (Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, as well as additional marketing resources such as blog posts and podcasts.)
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
  • Google Analytics
  • Paid ads (Google, Facebook, etc.)
  • Graphic design (Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator)
  • WordPress website creation and management
  • Campaign management
  • Marketing strategy review: Providing recommendations on what methods you can use to leverage and improve your marketing strategy, based on your organization's budget and current marketing strategy.
