high potential identification go-to-market strategy target market brand positioning textiles market researchZephlinear Ltd is looking to create its own digital materials library to showcase FOYSE fabric samples, building on the recognition it received from UPenn’s Fisher Arts Material Library. The platform should offer tiered membership, a clean visual layout, searchable metadata, and secure upload features. This project challenges students to research, plan, and prototype a functional design for this new platform using Airtable and Softr, keeping user experience and monetization in mind.
Research best practices for digital archive and material library design
Set up an Airtable database for storing sample data with appropriate metadata structure
Design a secure, responsive Softr site with:
- Tiered access (Free + Paid)
- Zoom-enabled image viewing
- Filtering/search tools
- Admin-only upload access
- Stripe integration
Deliverables: Working prototype or visual wireframes, Airtable schema, and UX recommendations for soft launch
Scheduled check-ins to discuss progress, address challenges, and provide feedback.

About the company
Zephlinear Ltd is a pioneering textile innovation company and the inventor of FOYSE® Technology — Fibre on Yarn Surface Entanglement — the world’s first patented process to manufacture noninterlaced textiles, representing a fourth category of textile construction beyond woven, knitted, and nonwoven.
At the intersection of design, engineering, and sustainability, Zephlinear is transforming how we understand and use fabric. FOYSE® fabrics are lighter, more breathable, and resistant to fraying and delamination. They can be engineered from natural, recycled, or functional fibres without the need for mesh backers or water-intensive processes.
With applications spanning wearables, sportswear, automotive, interiors, and defence, Zephlinear enables high-performance textile solutions that meet the growing demand for sustainable, adaptable, and scalable materials.
Driven by research, protected by international patents, and recognised with awards including Best Paper at SPWID, Zephlinear continues to redefine the future of fabric — one fibre at a time.
