TH3RDSPACE is a Black youth-led nonprofit organization that supports personal development, leadership, and community engagement through intentional programming. We are seeking student collaborators to help us develop our organization’s website and integrate a youth-centered digital tool that increases access to our programs and resources.


The main goal of this project is to design and build a dynamic, easy-to-navigate website for TH3RDSPACE, that helps youth explore our services, upcoming events, workshops, and local resources tailored to their needs.


  1. Design and develop a responsive, user-friendly website that reflects TH3RDSPACE’s mission and offerings.
  2. Create a digital tool (interactive map or visual dashboard) that acts as a “wayfinding system” helping youth explore and access available programming, services, and relevant opportunities.
  3. Develop a content management approach that allows our team to regularly update programs, events, and resources without external support.
Deliverables

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:

  • Understanding of website platform options
  • Identification of the most suitable platform
  • Development of a website using the most suitable tool
  • Recommendations for website maintenance

Bonus steps would include:

  • Testing the website with users and making improvements based on user input

Final deliverables should include

  • A website prototype.
  • A final report.
