Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

We are looking to have 6-12 students begin entering data for a comprehensive literature review project during the month of December-January. This is the first part of a large project and may result in multiple future projects.

Participants require access to the database platform (Excel), and access to raw data (i.e., online library search). Students will be responsible to:

  • Review the project goals and data categories accordingly
  • Read and use the provided instruction code for database use
  • Have experience using Excel
  • Comb through and filter raw data (i.e., peer reviewed journal articles) by inputting information accordingly
  • Keep clear and strictly accurate logs regarding literature search
What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

Our objective is to complete a search of existing literature and organize findings into a database via Excel.

The database will require multiple pages (approximately 3).

Database use:

  1. Organization of source data (i.e., input of journal article information)
  2. Storage and maintenance of data across time (update as needed)
  3. Data linkage to articles
How will you support learners in completing the project?

Students will connect directly with the employer for mentorship throughout the project. Access to required platform (Excel) is required by the student.
