Manitoba Association for Career Development - Marketing/Communications
What we do: Support Manitoba’s career and employment services Share information, resources, ideas, educational and training opportunities Create opportunities to network with each other and our organizations Promote future provincial certification in our field Positions available: 1 Marketing Strategy We want a student to complete a full member, market, and environmental analysis; complete a marketing strategy review; design a new marketing strategy (product, place, price, and promotion); conduct overhaul of our branding or communication strategy. The student will also develop press releases, content for posts and other promotional items. In particular, the student will help us build a marketing strategy to grow and engage our membership. We’d like to know how we can maximize different channels and what will work best for us. The main questions we’d like a student to help us answer are the following: How should we promote our company? What channels should we utilize? What messaging should we use? What costs would be involved? Duties include: assist with creating a communications strategy for a professional association; understand the role of social media in communications and marketing; able to create simple, effective graphics; able to adapt messaging to a variety of audiences; able to adapt messaging to a variety of platforms.
Manitoba Association for Career Development - Sponsorship Drive
What we do: Support Manitoba’s career and employment services Share information, resources, ideas, educational and training opportunities Create opportunities to network with each other and our organizations Promote future provincial certification in our field Positions available: 1 Sponsorship Drive We want a student to develop a strategy for sponsorship for the Let’s Get to Work conference. The student will do an environmental scan of potential corporate and government sponsors; ensure potential sponsors are in line with MACD’s vision, purpose and goals; investigate process to apply for application; review and recommend what promotion should be tied to the level of sponsorship; and develop communications around sponsorship as well as a timeline for connections. Duties include: Assist in the development of a sponsorship package for a Manitoba-only Career development Conference Research potential sponsors Create a sponsor contact list Develop an implementation plan Work with communications team to establish a look and feel for the promotion package
Market Research into Recruiting Agency Training
Researcher We want a student to assist in conducting an environmental scan on advocacy work being conducted within Canada and abroad within the field of career development. A secondary focus will also be on identifying key benefits of career development work and the positive impact it has on the social and economic wellbeing of individuals and the Manitoba and Canadian economy. Duties include: Conducting an environmental scan to determine work being conducted in other jurisdictions. Conduct a literature review on the social and economic benefits of career development Create a summary of findings and record sources Identify potential contacts within various jurisdictions
