Students should be prepared to:Help us refine our story to something compelling and news-worthyWrite up press releases around multiple news-worthy storiesIdentify media outlets that are most beneficial to us/most likely to pick the story upSend press releases and establish a positive rapport with media contactsSecure media exposure for our organizationAssist with general communications tasks, such as writing 1 - 2 newsletters during the placement
Create a Talent Acquisition Plan
As a new start-up, we want to ensure we're attracting top-notch employees in the mental health, product design, and business fields. Creating an inclusive, and diverse is of utmost importance as it ensures ongoing innovation and valuable insight when compared to non-diverse teams.We're looking for assistance in creating new and creative recruitment assessments and interview processes. This may include outlining the best platforms for job postings, overlooking our current hiring process, and providing insight and suggestions for any additional Talent Acquisition improvements.As it currently stands, our company is 100% remote with flexible work hours and we hope to use this (and our core values) to attract promising candidates.

As a new start-up, we want to ensure a comprehensive HR onboarding and review system that sets employees up for success! Performance evaluation and employee skills tracking is something we're aiming for. Creativity is the name of the game, there is a lot of freedom when it comes to the development of this tool. We are ramping up to a product launch within the next few months and we don't have a large social presence.We're looking for help from a mental health student with a good understanding of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Dialectical Therapy to act as an editor for our current product - a mental health journal! The contents themselves have already gone through a mental health professional, but we would love some help in refining the language, grammar, and terminology used. The student would use their 80 hours of work toward editing 40 - 80 pages of our journal, with support from our mental health team.
