3D Printing Process Optimization for Fibra Inc.
Fibra Inc. is seeking to enhance its 3D printing manufacturing process to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction, and improved product quality. The current process, while functional, presents opportunities for optimization that can lead to significant benefits in production time and resource utilization. The project involves analyzing the existing workflow, identifying bottlenecks, and proposing actionable improvements. Learners will apply their knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials science, and quality control to develop innovative solutions. The goal is to streamline operations, minimize waste, and ensure consistent product quality, aligning with Fibra Inc.'s commitment to excellence in 3D printing technology.

Product Developer
Initial Design & 3D Modeling Develop detailed 3D models of the selected product using SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or AutoCAD . Optimize the design for 3D printing , considering print orientation, support structures, and layer thickness to ensure high-quality output. Cost Analysis Conduct a detailed cost breakdown , including materials, energy, labor, and equipment depreciation . Identify and implement cost-saving strategies , such as material optimization, reduced print time, and streamlined post-processing . Potential Extensions Advanced Additive Manufacturing Techniques : Explore metal 3D printing, 4D printing , or other emerging technologies. Material Science Innovations : Research and test new materials to enhance durability, flexibility, or sustainability in 3D printing applications . Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) : Refine the product for better manufacturability, strength, and weight reduction , making it more efficient for additive manufacturing processes .

Data Assistant
The main goal for this project is to identify trends and provide analysis of our survey responses.

Social media assistant
This project is focused on strengthening Fibraβs social media presence by creating engaging and relevant content and posting it on Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok. The learner will work closely with the digital media specialist on implementing strategies to increase Fibra's community members and also increase the number of individuals on the waitlist and our other marketing materials.
