PROJECT DESCRIPTION/DESCRIPTION DU PROJET: Electronic business (e-business) has become a deciding factor in sustainability of business in COVID-19 times around the world. It is a fact that the Internet and other communication technologies (ICT) reduce the disruption caused by the global pandemic. However, there is a range of issues and challenges surrounding the adoption of ICT and e-business technologies and techniques by micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) E-business readiness can be defined as the degree of preparation an organization has to participate in and benefit from the information, new technologies, and their developments. E-business readiness is essentially a measure of an organization’s e-business environment and its ability to support the use of ICT in its different business activities (R&D, product development, marketing and sales, customer services). A series of factors are considered to assess e-business readiness: the available information and ICT infrastructures, the enterprises’ management abilities to deal with new trends and technologies, the human resources competencies and skills, the readiness of the market, the economic situation, the legal environment, and the social issues. The main purpose of this research is to assess how enterprise management readiness, information readiness, and human resources readiness can be improved in a practical setting for MSMEs to achieve a better level of e-business readiness under the current ITC readiness of their environment. The objective is to write a practical guide that assists MSMEs in improving their digital competitiveness to be able to successfully carry out businesses in a post COVID-19 ICT empowered environment.
