Bio

Art has always been an important outlet in my life, and my creativity allows me to exist while sharing that passion with others. I went to a mini school program in Vancouver which focused on artistic individuality then moved to Montréal for a couple years and moved back after getting into Emily Carr. I started going to Emily Carr in September of 2020 and have expanded my practice and knowledge in ways I wasn’t expecting in only a year. I’m pursuing industrial design and find a lot of interest in creating 3D and 2D projects with a sustainable practice in mind. I am having a lot of fun pushing my boundaries and experimenting in new fields and different practices of art and merging different mediums. I have always had an interest in fashion and different design elements involving colours and shapes, and have some experience with designing graphics.

The Three Vases
February 2021 - April 2021

Apart of a “Ciphers of the Anthropocene” project in my foundation year, I made these three vases by repurposing mugs and plates with plaster and papier-mâché.

Artists Book
January 2021 - April 2021

By taking an old 1970s descriptive atlas of Canada, I wanted to re introduce the boundaries of Canada with a playful and colourful twist. I produced a reconfigured design of Canada with photographic elements from the book, patterns, and painting. I then created patterns to place back into the book where I took the photographs for the map.

Order and Chaos
January 2021 - April 2021

I started with four different record covers and painted over them in aim to create a chaotic cohesive scene. I experimented with different mediums and glazes to get different colour swirls and textures and tried to enhance enhance certain elements of the original record covers. Overall, the goal was to create a piece completely different that how the original four record covers were and to embody some sort of equilibrium amongst chaos.
