Hello! I'm a third-year Bachelor of Communication Studies - Professional Communications student at MacEwan University. I have previously worked in the post-secondary sector as support staff for more than three years, where I communicated with students in-person, over the phone and via email. I also have editing experience from having edited several texts of different genres, including fiction, non-fiction and poetry. I know the positive impact that well-written texts can have on building strong connections within companies and between companies and their clients, and I'm excited to help organizations achieve this outcome.

Content Creation/Writing Project
We would love some extra support for our External Communications team to write and submit proposals for various funding opportunities. We are hoping to have government and schools invest in our service and would appreciate expert advice and insight to help us win over the hearts of those who can help sustain our vision and mission! You would be responsible for coming up with grant proposals (writing) for various partner organizations and government funding opportunities and you will be able to reach out to them personally on behalf of our organization. There is no minimum or maximum number of proposals you can work on, as the process will mostly be the same for each proposal. We hope you can work towards a successful grant submission throughout the course of the project. This project will include: Finding potential sponsors and funding opportunities that are a good fit for our vision and needs Research, plan, write, edit, and revise a persuasive proposal narrative, using a template of the some we've already produced Use creative ideas to improve the clarity and persuasiveness of our company's grant proposal writing Research into other grant opportunities in line with our needs and goals Reach out to sponsors and apply for grants Resources We will be available to share resources like free workshops for grant writing, opportunities to talk to mentors/advisors, and our CEO is always on call for any/every need.
Virtual Wiki Content Writer
Local Grown Salads is looking to create a wiki, for internal and external use. Currently, we have a list on our project management software, JIRA, on what pages need to be written and some basic content for the pages but we are looking for content writers to improve/expand the information that we have. Each student will be assigned various subtopics from the topics mentioned below, based on their expertise/knowledge. Content topics include but aren't limited to: Produce - e.g. on the wiki page for Kale, information may need to be written regarding the light needed, nutritional information, harvest yield, etc. Services LGS offers LGS Equipment and Technology Food Safety Sidenote: Each subtopic is one wiki page. Local Grown Salads uses the same software for our wiki that Wikipedia uses and so students will be learning skills related to creating a Wikipedia page.
