Event Marketing & Graphic Design
Students at Accelerate Her Future will be provided with an opportunity to support our team wit marketing and graphic design needs for our upcoming events. This engagement will give the intern an opportunity to work with a dynamic team within a collaborative environment. We are a young startup and as a career accelerator for Indigenous, Black and racialized women we care deeply about mentorship. We will help our students succeed as much as we want them to help us meet our event goals. We are looking for a student who has creative vision, tenacity, drive, and sees possibilities in all things and who thrives at working independently and within a team environment. This project involves: Creating speaker photos and social media kits for our upcoming events. Creating signage and promotional videos. Meeting with the Operations & UX Lead to evaluate the choices made for graphics design to ensure it is aligned with company branding goals, and making any necessary revisions. Designing and presenting thumbnails for design assets based on the branding guide to be included in a proposal and presented to the project manager. Executing the full designs for each branding asset using Canva and Figma, based on the approved thumbnails. Who are we looking for? Business Development Process
Number of individual students required: 2 Students at Accelerate Her Future will be provided with an opportunity to help us improve our business development process. This engagement will give the intern an opportunity to work with a dynamic team within a collaborative environment. We are a young startup and as a career accelerator for Indigenous, Black and racialized women we care deeply about mentorship. We will help our students succeed as much as we want them to help us enhance our visual identity. We are looking for a student who has creative vision, tenacity, drive, and sees possibilities in all things and who thrives at working independently and within a team environment. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Evaluating our current business development process and help us create a clear workflow. Researching industry business development processes and lead generation strategies. Create recommendations that will improve our leads and conversion rate. Generate prospect list based on criteria provided. Creating a business development process, workflow, and list of required resources and marketing collateral/email scripts. Who are we looking for? Website Design
Number of individual students required: 1 Students at Accelerate Her Future will be provided with an opportunity to assist with phase 2 of our website design. This engagement will give the intern an opportunity to work with a dynamic team within a collaborative environment. Blogging for a Career Accelerator
Students at Accelerate Her Future will be provided with an opportunity to develop interview guides for individuals who we wish to profile on our blog. They will also have an opportunity to write highlighting recent research focused on gender and racial equity as well as state of women in the workplace. This engagement will give interns an opportunity to work with a dynamic team within a collaborative environment. The student will be exposed to a variety of skills and experiences to enhance their knowledge of digital marketing, communication, and content creation. We are a young startup and as a career accelerator for Indigenous, Black and racialized women and we care deeply about mentorship. We will help our students succeed as much as we want them to help us enhance our digital footprint. We are looking for students who have creative vision, tenacity, drive, and see possibilities in all things and who thrive at working independently and in a team setting. To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will: Familiarizing themselves with our mission, goals, target market, programs and services. Recommending topics for our blog posts. Set up interview guides for member profiles. Drafting blog posts relevant to our organization Revising blog posts based on feedback. Video Creation for a Career Accelerator
Number of individual students required: 2 Students at Accelerate Her Future will be provided with an opportunity to create a private video repository of all our recorded events, as well as edit, cut, and add transitions to videos and add our company branding. This engagement will give the intern an opportunity to work with a dynamic team within a collaborative environment. The student will be exposed to a variety of skills and experiences to enhance their knowledge of digital marketing and video editing. We are a young startup and as a career accelerator for students and recent graduates we care deeply about mentorship. We will help our students succeed as much as we want them to help us enhance our digital footprint. We are looking for students who have creative vision, tenacity, drive, and see possibilities in all things and who thrive working independently and in a team setting. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Familiarizing themselves with our mission and goals. Creating a private video repository. Editing and cutting videos from our past events. Applying suitable background music. Adding text, transitions, and overlays to the video. Presenting the video and making edits based on feedback. Number of individual students required: 1 The individual at Accelerate Her Future will be provided with an opportunity to develop a newsletter editorial calendar, and set up newsletters using Mailchimp. This engagement will give the intern an opportunity to work with a dynamic team within a collaborative environment. The intern will be exposed to a variety of skills and experiences to enhance their knowledge of communication, creative writing, content creation and project management. We are a young startup and as a career accelerator for Indigenous, Black and racialized women, we care deeply about mentorship. We will help our intern succeed as much as we want them to help us enhance our digital footprint. We are looking for an individual who has creative vision, tenacity, driven, and sees possibilities in all things and who thrives at working independently and within a team setting. To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will: Conducting background research on specific topics. Brainstorming topics for each issue. Setting, coordinating, and enforcing deadlines. Creating materials to be published and making revisions based on feedback. Proofreading drafts of newsletters and recommending areas for improvement. Research Assistant for a Career Accelerator
Number of individual students required: 4 Students at Accelerate Her Future will be provided with an opportunity to work with us on conducting and analyzing research the experiences of Black, Indigenous and racialized women, developing infographics, social media assets and contributing to our impact reporting process. The student will be exposed to a variety of skills and experiences to enhance their knowledge of primary and secondary critical thinking and analysis, research methodology, survey design, design thinking, and written communication. ABOUT Accelerate Her Future™ is a career accelerator providing tailored programs for self-identifying Black, Indigenous and women of colour to launch their careers in business and tech while building networks of solidarity and action. PROJECT DESCRIPTION/DESCRIPTION DU PROJET: Students at Accelerate Her Future will be provided with an opportunity to support digital marketing need for the organization, our upcoming summit and fellowship program including creating captions, creating interview guides for blogs, editing blogs, and write content highlighting recent research focused on gender and racial equity as well as state of women in the workplace. This engagement will give interns an opportunity to work with a dynamic team within a very collaborative environment. The students will be exposed to a variety of skills and experiences to enhance their knowledge of digital marketing, communication, and content creation. We are a young startup and as a career accelerator for students and recent graduates we care deeply about mentorship.
