Bio

My name is Yousef and I am a 4th-year business student at the University of Windsor. I have always had a passion for sports and numbers since I could remember. I love analyzing the stock market and investing in various companies hence my decision to specialize in finance and economics. I find myself to be a calculating risk-taker as it adds a little flare into my life that I enjoy.

Overall the report was well done. Yousef chose a selection from the list of competitors to review, and gave varying degrees of good insight into these companies. The SWOT analysis at the end was well thought out and insightful. The report would have benefitted from a more standard structure (providing the exact same information for all competitors so they could be analyzed in a more rigorous methodology). As well, there were a few sections that felt a bit unfinished (ie providing a link to pricing instead of describing it or using a screenshot. I was very pleased to get Yousef's work, thank you to Yousef. It's invaluable having a new lens on FitIn's competitive viability.

Business Development & Sustainability

Our project is open to individual students or groups. Our e-commerce ecosystem connects consumers with their local producers and suppliers of fresh food and other artisanal products. We work with entrepreneurs and small businesses to help get their unique, high quality products more known by consumers. Our vision is to make fresh, unique and wholesome local products more available and accessible. We would like to work with students in helping us support our businesses to succeed. The particular challenge we are facing is how to effectively communicate our brand and platform to a wide range of businesses. Some questions that could be answered in helping us face this challenge include: Does our digital marketing strategy communicate our brand effectively? What can be improved in our outreach and marketing process to attract the types of business we’re looking for? What can be improved in our on-boarding and support processes to retain businesses and ensure their success? We are looking for students who can provide: Practical solutions to address our challenges A pragmatic report including root causes of our issues, possible action plans, and a functional timeline to mitigate the challenge One-to-one weekly or bi-weekly consultation

Mergers & Acquisitions Research

We are a boutique advisory and consulting firm that is looking to enter the Mergers & Acquisitions market in a bigger way. We are ready to take our business to the next level! Our company requires some assistance in assessing the current and future potential for mergers and acquisitions in the British Columbia and Ontario geography. We want to learn more about customer’s expectations and behaviours in suggested new regions and markets. It is important for us to stay up to date on industry standards to ensure that we research new locations fully and completely before choosing to enter. . Our specific need is an outline of our industry’s expansion opportunities in the private sector. This report should include an optimal location recommendation list. To consider: which markets align with our current one? What markets can we own? What markets are untapped? Who is being underserved? Where are there clients that we have yet to reach? What are the pros and cons to expanding our operations? What potential competitors exist in new locations? What legal protocol will need to be considered? We are looking for an extensive competitor and market analysis and recommendations for our firm to stand out and have a competitive advantage.

Competitive Analysis for e-commerce platform

It’s important for us to have a better understanding of how our products, services and pricing compare to our competitors. We want to develop clarity on our competitive advantages in order to optimize our development roadmap, pricing, and marketing strategy. This project will include: An identification of our current competitors. An identification of potential future competitors (eg. a large company in a similar industry who may enter the space) The creation of a matrix identifying features shared across the companies and those that are different. A breakdown of pricing for each (this may require taking meetings with our competitors, as many have their full pricing table hidden.) Some examples of use cases for each A summary for each: 2-4 paragraphs that describe our competitive advantages and disadvantages relative to the competition identified. This could be done in the form of a SWOT analysis. An overview of your findings, highlighting key trends in services and products available. Objective We hope to gain a comprehensive understanding of the competitors in our space and how we can differentiate ourselves through our product/service offering, pricing, and messaging.
