Being a Grant Writer with Barks of Love was a great experience! In this role, I learned so much about the process of grant writing and gained a lot of professional experience. Ashley is so kind and easy to work with, she went out of her way to explain new tasks to me and recognized my strengths as a writer allowing me to flourish in those areas. This project also allowed me to work on a wide range of tasks with a mix of writing and creative work.

They highly value and respect their volunteers, were great at communicating throughout the project, were easy to talk to and make me feel like it was never a burden to ask questions. They accommodated my schedule and allowed me to make my own hours, which was brilliant.
