Bio

I am a computer science student at Toronto Metropolitan University with experience in multiple programming languages, including Java, Python, and SQL, as well as languages used for web development, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. I am an aspiring cybersecurity professional, hoping to enhance my knowledge and practical skills in cybersecurity and looking for opportunities to work on real-life cybersecurity projects. I currently have the Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) certification from ISC2, the Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) certification from Microsoft, and am currently studying for the Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900) certification. I am also further trying to develop my cybersecurity skills by taking part in the WiCyS Security Training Scholarship, where, if selected to advance to the final stage, I will have the opportunity to take three industry recognized SANS courses (SEC275, SEC401, SEC504), and three GIAC certifications (GFACT, GSEC, GCIH). After competing in the first tier of the scholarship program, a Capture the Flag event where I placed 164th out of approximately 1100 participants, and gaining practical skills involving cryptography, web exploitation, and network exploitation in the process, I am one of the approximately 400 participants selected to advance to the second tier of the program, the SANS CyberStart game. I believe that my extensive experience working on a variety of team-based projects, ranging from programming projects in university, to innovation challenges where I was required to come up with solutions to real-life problems and create a pitch, will be an asset to the project I work on through Riipen. I am a dedicated, hardworking individual, eager to take on challenges, and always willing to learn new things.
