Professional writing and editing for books.
We are looking for a student with excellent writing skills to create content that aligns with our vision. Writing will primarily be for blog posts, email marketing, brand stories, books, and podcasts. We are also looking for students with experience and interest in book editing. Some tasks will include: Writing blog articles Editing transcripts and manuscripts Company manuals email newsletters/sequences and other content pieces on assigned topics Write web copy The student will report directly to our senior editor and will have access to all team members and resources. If you like the sound of our culture, and are ready to tackle this challenge with us, then we'd love to hear from you. A student or team with excellent writing skills and a keen interest in personal development and book publishing would be a great fit. Editing skills and publishing knowledge is a plus.

This LEVEL UP Educator - Content Developer will... work for 80 hours to complete a minimum of 10 lesson plans for a variety of grades in elementary and secondary schools (depending on experience and expertise) create educational content for Indigenous Speaker Presentation videos sourced from IISB’s various Indigenous speakers and knowledge keepers work on a team of educators and video producers, planning and organizing lesson plans recieve instruction and support on the process of creating the lessons from speaker videos with a dedicated support team work with other teachers from various provinces who will be developing curriculum connections to accompany the videos We’re looking for someone who has… ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member with people from diverse backgrounds able to learn and work with other software systems including Cloud storage ability to multi-task and prioritize work strong attention to details excellent time management skills strong organizational and planning skills QUALIFICATIONS: • ability to communicate effectively with students and teachers from a variety of backgrounds • can demonstrate an ability and a passion for building bridges between Indigenous and non-indigenous peoples. • can demonstrate an understanding and deep appreciation for Indigenous Culture and Peoples, within Canada and/or globally. • ability to take constructive criticism and utilize as steppingstones to their growth and development. Level Up Comms A Introduction to General Communications
This Level Up Project is for students who wish to learn and develop their communications skills across cultures. Project Level A: Introduction to General Communications This is the first of a gradual multiple step learning experience in Indigenous Communications. Project Details: In this project level students will watch 6 Indigenous Education videos, complete corresponding reflection pages for each, and attend respective team meetings. Students will shadow and work alongside a Communications specialist to become familar with general communications, journalistic communications and familarizing themselves with IISB platforms and techniques. The goal of this project is to equip students with the necessary skills to competely work with IISB, an Indigenous organization, to develop communications assets. Students who complete this level of communication project, will then be eligible to go on to the next level of communications projects.
