internship:enhancing Campus Recruitment Strategies
trip.com
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
May 2024 - August 2025

I led an international team of nine members, managing tasks and schedules across multiple time zones to ensure effective collaboration. My work involved conducting detailed case studies on campus recruitment strategies and designing surveys to gather insights from university students about their preferences and challenges. After collecting and analyzing the survey data, I identified key trends such as preferred communication channels and factors influencing students’ decisions. I compiled these findings into a comprehensive report and developed actionable recommendations. At the conclusion of the project, I represented our team in delivering a final presentation to stakeholders, summarizing our research and proposed strategies.

Exploring the Impact of Heating Quality and Air Conditioning on House Prices
September 2024 - December 2024

In collaboration with a teammate, I analyzed the impact of heating quality and central air conditioning on house sale prices using the Ames Housing Dataset. Using R as the primary tool, I conducted statistical modeling that included data visualization, multiple linear regression, hypothesis testing, and necessary transformations. To ensure the accuracy of our model, I performed diagnostic tests to address violations of linear regression assumptions. The results of our analysis were summarized in a detailed final report, and we created a poster to effectively communicate our findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Comprehensive Analysis of Robberies in Toronto and Development of Safety Link App

As the leader of a five-person team, I guided our research on robberies in Toronto, utilizing R to produce four distinct visualizations—an interactive heatmap, bar chart, Sankey diagram, and line chart—to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the data. Based on our findings, we conceptualized the Safety Link app, designed to provide users with real-time data and a map highlighting robbery hotspots in their vicinity, enabling them to choose safer routes. Our targeted audience included government agencies, law enforcement, tourists, and Toronto residents. The project culminated in the production of the app, interactive dashboards in Tableau, and a 10-minute presentation video, which I recorded to effectively communicate our results and app features.

Predicting Cancer Project
November 2021 - December 2021

I worked with other 2 students as a group of three in analyzing the effect of AXL protein levels on induced cancer, utilizing R as the primary statistical tool. My responsibilities included producing data visualizations, constructing classification trees, and applying statistical methods such as simple linear regression, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, and confusion matrix analysis. I also presented our final conclusions and analysis results to audience without a statistical background, ensuring complex concepts were communicated in an accessible and comprehensible manner.
