Dynamic Document Generation Project
June 2018 - October 2018
This is an internal project completed for the Durham Regional Police services, and I must respect their confidentiality, so I am limited in what I can speak about it.
The project is a web application using react js, express, and sql. The goal of the project is to be able to edit and store dynamic pdf content generated by the application. The pdf document initially contains content required by all forms, and based on these initial selections, the correct additional content is displayed. The form will continue this process as many times as needed, based on the input of the user. When the document is saved, all fields are stored remotely to a database and the document can be accessed at any time. When the users press download, the contents are converted to a pdf format and saved.
Prior to my software, this document was written manually and a majority did not know the requirements to complete it without assistance. My software automatically determines the requirements based on any situation that requires the completion of this document.
