Aqueous Ozone Research Project: Access to Sustainable and Effective Sanitization at home and in the community.
The COVID-19 pandemic has created global concerns for sustainable health, complicated by reduced food security and hampered supply chains. These changes are cost prohibitive to most and poses a state of unrest which has consumers seeking and applying new measures to stay healthy at home, work, and in the community. The main goal for this project is to assess the benefits of Aqueous Ozone in Canadian homes and small businesses, compare it to popular cleaning or sanitization products, and position it as a subject of interest for research project funding. THE PROBLEM:Â https://youtu.be/HSmIbZde2gI?si=-s7vfA3br9tQSi75 This will involve seven related outcomes: Researching and analyzing the benefits of Aqueous Ozone in Canadian homes and small businesses. Comparing Aqueous Ozone to popular cleaning or sanitization products. Assessing the effectiveness of aqueous ozone versus other hand sanitizers such as Rubbing Alcohol in killing SARS-CoV-2 /COVID-19 / SARS-CoV-1. Evaluating the associated costs for each solution while our product is an on-demand Developing a proposal to position Aqueous Ozone as a subject of interest for research project funding. The proposed partnership project addresses a critical aspect of public health by seeking alternatives to chemical sanitizers. Interns can take pride in contributing to solutions that promote cleaner and healthier living environments, which is especially relevant in today's health-conscious society.
Social Enterprise B-Corporation Certification Plan
To achieve B-Corporation certification, our company must receive a minimum score on social and environmental performance. This is an online assessment that is overseen by the independent body that certifies B-Corporations (the B Lab). The assessment covers our entire operations and measures our impact in governance, workers, community, the environment, as well as our products and services. We also must integrate sustainability commitments to stakeholders into our governing documents. Shoo-Foo has already started completing the B-Corp assessment. Before submission, we need to review the current content and complete a few missing sections. We would like to work with a student who is familiar with the B-Corp concept and wants to deepen their knowledge through practical experience.
