Level UP MacEwan Faculty and Staff Projects

Flexible

Important for students: To qualify for Level UP funding, please confirm your eligibility by completing a short 1-minute Level UP Eligibility Check . This step is mandatory for you to receive your $1,400 honorarium from Riipen. These projects have been created by MacEwan staff and faculty looking to work with MacEwan students on projects. The Level UP program (powered by Riipen) allows employers to bring on Canadian post-secondary students for 80-hour paid projects. Students are paid a $1400 CAD stipend on completion of the project by Riipen; employers are not required to provide payment. Submit a project here for our Level UP coordinators to review. Once approved, students will apply to your project directly - individually, or in teams. Get specific in your project description about the skills you're looking for in order to attract the most suitable applicant(s). Most projects will be suitable if they can be completed remotely or in a hybrid fashion.

MacEwan Level UP: December 2023 - March 2024

Flexible

MacEwan University is working with Level UP, powered by Riipen! This unique initiative enables employers to engage Canadian post-secondary students for 80-hour paid projects. Students receive a $1,400 CAD stipend from Riipen upon successful project completion. Employers are not required to provide payment. Here’s how it works: Submit a project to this experience for our Level UP team to review.  Once your project gets the green light, students (individually or in teams) will apply directly. They might come from various Canadian post-secondary institutions and academic programs.  Craft a project description that’s skill-specific to attract the best-fit applicants. Important points Project deliverables will differ based on scope, but a comprehensive report or other assets should be produced by project completion, aiding your business goals.  Regular communication with students enhances project outcomes.  If confidentiality is key, consider having students sign an NDA using our agreements feature . They can still submit work on the platform by uploading redacted samples, using the worklog feature, and writing a brief project reflection.  Our help articles in the Level UP knowledge centre can help you get started. Have questions? Reach out to us using the Avocado Chat Feature on the bottom right corner of every page.
