Our organization is able to offer a virtual internship opportunity for (1 | 2 | 3) marketing students or teams. The primary focus for the student will be: Marketing Communications - Recommend changes to PR materials; create an integrated marketing campaign to bring awareness of our monthly seminars, webinars and help promote small businesses in our ecosystem Market Research - Investigate our competitive landscape; identify expansion opportunities; identify key messaging for to help us maintain a sustainable startup ecosystem presence Public Relations - Develop and implement a PR strategy; create collateral, including press releases, and impactful case studies. Strategic Social Media Marketing - Helping us grow our current social media presence and/or other current communication channel(s);to help expand our online presence and increase engagement by creating useable social media and blog posts. Our goal at the end of this experience is: Branding and Marketing Communications - For the student(s) to help us improve our brand's presence Public Relations - For the student(s) to help us effectively communicate our brand's story and mission to a broad audience. SEO Strategy & Recommendations - For the student(s) to help us generate more traffic through search engines and alternate channels Strategic Social Media Marketing - For the student(s) to help us improve our online presence, reach a wider audience, and effectively promote our brand through compelling content. Other duties the student may complete could include : (indicate other duties as exemplified below) Assist with outbound email marketing campaigns as needed through creation of templates (MailChimp) Content design development, including social posts, blog posts or LinkedIn articles. We will plan to communicate with our virtual intern(s) using these communication tools: (list expected channels - eg. Real Adulting 101 - Online Course
Real Adulting 101 (an online, subscription based platform for adult education) would love to bring on your student(s) to develop an online course for our members based on their skill set, education and passions. Some of our courses so far include Investing, Budgets, Real Estate, Sustainability, Home Organization, Therapy, Dealing with Rejection and several more. Depending on the length of the courses (how many lessons are included for the course), there may be time allotted for the development of a course. Courses are created in three steps: Course Curriculum (50% of time, approximately 44 hours), Developing Presentation Breakdown (5% of time, approximately 4 hours), Filming (35% of time, approximately 28 hours) and Wiggle Room/Meetings (10% of time, approximately 8 hours - Mentorship, questions, connecting with other team members for learning, etc.).
Set up Company Accounting Office
The purpose of the project is to help the company establish and strengthen accounting system. The company has Quickbooks and the interns will be working to align banking systems with Quickbooks. Transition financial data from Excel to Quickbooks, prepare the company for internal audit. as well as prepare financial projections and forecasts.
Lean Startup Business Strategy Development
We want to simplify our go-to-market strategy to make our business model more βleanβ and reactive to customer feedback. The focus of this project is to identify the root problems that are increasing time and cost allocations across our operations and suggesting actionable solutions. Students should focus on: Mapping our operational processes. Identifying bottlenecks in our systems. Recommending improvements to optimize our organization.
