Software Infrastructure/Cloud Engineer

Our company currently relies on Google Firebase heavily. This is a Back end as a Service technology. We currently use this with the React front end framework.As we are growing with our feature set, we are starting to find limitations/restrictions around Firebase stack. One example is how Firebase stack restricts us to implement Open Graph Tags for Social media website previews.For that reason we are going to migrate our stack into Amazon Web Services and use AWS as a Infrastructure as a Provider. This will allow us to use technologies that are less-locking and more interoperable.This will involve several different steps for the students, including:Building cloud systems, with our assistance in providing the necessary documentsUnderstand how web systems with application instances, front end components, CDN and data layer works.Understand how application APIs are designed, and can be changed.Providing training on existing cloud service models (BaaS, IaaS, PaaS)Bonus steps in the process would also include:Performing data migration from different cloud providers.Adding support for Open Graph Tags

Online Website Design

Our company is online community. We hope to gain a renewed understanding of the features and design that our target market would expect in our website.We would like to collaborate with students to produce design concepts informed by real customer input and feedback so we can bring this to our developers to improve our current implemented design.This will involve several different steps for the students, including:Conducting interviews with potential customers or users.Researching existing products and market potential.Defining current needs and limitations for potential products.Developing a prototype of a recommended product design or show conceptsConducting user interviews and research on our industry, our target market, and desired website features.Designing a wireframe prototype (possible) for our website and mapping out user interactions.Creating a brand new style guide, and a design system and its components in Figma to be used for the entire websiteDocumenting the design process and any additional insights that emerge.Testing the current beta website, and prototype created with customers and surveying for feedback.Refining design ideas with input from experts and customers.Provide multiple versions of a design that includes the desired website features OR selected design to show how current designs can be improved.

Grow Audience Through Social Media Presence

The goal of this project is to create a comprehensive marketing plan for UX was Here to grow their audience on Linkedin, Instagram, and YouTube channels. This plan should include strategies for creating content, sharing existing content, and video editing.

Scrum Master Assistant

Details: We are looking for students to act as a Scrum Master Assistant in making sure that teams value their agile behaviours while managing the other parts of necessary projects. Students will support the Scrum Master in their daily tasks such as managing team needs and clearing obstacles to ensure the team can complete their tasks with little problems.Project will be split into 4 sprints totalling 80 hours completed within 8 weeks timeSprint 1: Students will observe scrum master and have opportunities to understand their role and responsibilities while asking questionsSprint 2: Students will take over the events and ceremonies as acting Scrum Master with guidance of the actual Scrum Master.Sprints 3&4: Students will continue to iterate and hone their craft as Scrum Master under the guidance of the actual Scrum Master.
