Sharon has in recent years utilized her great convening power and her unwavering support for women to establish several women-owned companies in North America. Her financial inclusion work has elevated informal women's savings clubs into legally registered and profitable business enterprises wholly owned by African immigrant women. Sharon has over the years delivered a series of in-person events, online discussions, all relating to financial inclusion and women empowerment, bringing together thousands of women. Her efforts at investing in women has also encourage women to invest in real estate in foreign markets, removing barriers to entry for many women constrained by social norms and strict financial eligibility requirements. Her commitment to women’s empowerment, financial inclusion and women’s health rights is exceptional.

A start-up real estate investment company owned by Zimbabwean women in Canada is ready to transition from start-up to growth phase. This company is currently run by volunteers and seeks to transition to attract technocrats, external financing while keeping shareholders engaged. You will actively contribute to researching, identifying and documenting identify the growth drivers. In this role you will research various growth enablers in sectors of finance, legal, governance, real estate market and branding. The key project deliverable is a business strategy, including business tactics and supporting budget. The interns will support the work to; - Streamline organizational priorities by directing them towards the best use of resources, while achieving the company mission, goals and objectives through stakeholder participation - Design strategy, implementation plans , and develop performance management indicators - Review and updating supporting policies and procedures

Develop and Execute Communications Strategy
We would like students to help us establish a public presence aligned with our vision, mission, and sector. Thrive 263 was created as a vehicle to support women of Zimbabwean heritage living in Canada to increase their participation in the Canadian economy. Thrive 263 catalyzes the financial inclusion of women through collective investment initiatives. Thrive is seeking to create digital presence by sharing their journey through an informational website, social media and other internal communications tools. We are looking to create a strategic communications plan that will raise profile, provide timely information and position for establishment of strategic relationships. You will be working on content creation for our organization, including updating website, content creation, social media, and other collateral that we can use as go-to communications tools.
