*EMPLOYERS MUST BE ONTARIO-BASED FOR ELIGIBILITY* This program is supported by the Career Ready Fund which is intended to support the automotive sector. Eligible employers will be provided with $3,000 per student/recent alumni hired. In this course, students will engage in an applied project of your choosing to design and fabricate prototypes by using digital manufacturing technology (lasers, 3D printer, multi-axis CNC machine tools) over the course of 15 weeks. The program will integrate precision machining methods with advanced computer-controlled machine technology (CNC) in state-of-the-art Precision Machining, CAD/CAM, CNC, Research, and Welding Labs and the students will come prepared to tackle the challenge provided.

Automotive Manufacture - Drive Ability Opening Doors
MLTSD
*EMPLOYERS MUST BE ONTARIO-BASED FOR ELIGIBILITY* About the Program Funded by the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development (MLTSD), The Drive Ability program aims to address the skilled labour needs of automotive and advanced manufacturing employers in Ontario. This initiative is a collaborative partnership between seven post-secondary institutions (George Brown College, York University, Georgian College, Mohawk College, Fanshawe College, Conestoga College, and Sheridan College) that leverages broad expertise to address talent shortages and provide quality work-integrated learning opportunities for students, apprentices, and new graduates. Work placements are typically four-month terms, depending on the discipline, and begin in May, September, and January. The ministry requires the length of a placement to be at least 10 weeks and can last up to four months. Employers may be eligible for multiple work placements during the program lifecycle.
