A New DAEI is an award-winning community hub that offering a fresh, alternative experience in all levels of dance and the entertainment industry - from fun dance technique classes to professional acting and work training courses.
We teach various forms of dance including traditional Eurocentric (ex. Ballet, Lyrical), North American (ex. Hip Hop, Jazz) and African (ex. Traditional West African, Afrobeats, Dancehall, Soca).
Youth can begin dance classes at age 2 and can join any one of our 3 programs:
Technique Training (alternatively known as Recreational Dance)
Competition Program (audition required)
Semi and Professional Dance and Entertainment Industry (DAEI) ProgramThe director of the academy is Tré Armstrong, an established choreographer, actress and producer. She created The Dance and Entertainment Industry (DAEI) Program to teach parents and youth as young as 5 how to transition dance as a hobby to a viable career and business. This is what makes A New DAEI unique.

Our team is looking to take our social media presence to the next level in order to drive traffic to our website and social media pages. To do this, we hope to improve our search engine optimization, and create an optimal schedule for our social media posts to be uploaded. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Researching keywords to determine the most relevant terms that our customers search for. Researching Search Engine Optimization requirements for us to rank on the first page of Google. Constructing a content calendar to upload social media content for the maximum possible traffic . Creating social media content using the most efficient keywords for our target audiences while following the content calendar. Youth and adults are included. Template creations for sustainable social media marketing by the company once the project is complete Bonus steps in the process would also include: Using our company’s social media analytics to tailor the content calendar to our customers activity, rather than general trends Using AI interfaces (ex. ChatGPT) to assist with critical writing and scripts for marketing to our target markets
Graphic Design Assets - Arts Organization
We're looking for students to help us with the creation of exciting, new graphic design assets for our diverse firm. Static images, videos, it's all good! Bring all your talent... This will include: Coming up with colour themes and branding guides that aligns with and builds on our existing branding. Creating graphic design assets for our marketing materials and websites, such as such as a banner ads, illustrations, infographic and more. We welcome additional suggestions by our students on board this project

We want to better understand our target market and audience as well as the overall market so we can uniquely position ourselves within our industry locally, nationally and of course globally. The research will include: Target market research Industry size and market potential Competitive landscape Strategic positioning of our brand Economic sector research A New DAEI is owned by a Black woman (she/her) and would like to see how the overall market houses the cultural dance sector, specifically Black arts such as African, Caribbean and various street styles. We must also determine, in comparison to our US counterparts, what the revenue sectors look like for our academy.
