Tabitha Osler was inspired to create Fairechild after working in the fashion industry and recognizing an urgent need for sustainable change. As a mother herself, and believer in the power of outdoor play, she created the outerwear brand with the hope that children can play outside all day, whatever the weather. Fairechild’s popularity continues to grow as it’s been featured in publications like Martha Stewart Living and Maire Claire, and most recently, the winner of the Fedex Small Business Grant award and Milk Magazine Green award. We are looking for a student intern to help us story build for future marketing campaigns, do some graphic design and copy writing.
KEY PROJECT ACTIVITIES/TÂCHES ASSOCIÉES AU PROJET:
- Story build around brand awareness
- Content creation, batching instagram posts with captions
- Write copy for newsletters and blog posts and add graphics

- Have graphic design skills ie: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- Have an excellent understanding of social media platforms
FINAL PROJECT DELIVERABLES/LIVRABLES DU PROJET:
- Create batches for Instagram posts with captions
- Website content (blog posts, newsletters, including graphics)
- Story telling around brand values
About the company
Fairechild Inc. (fairechild) is a Nova Scotia start-up company created to design and market a line of children’s outerwear. The company is owned and operated by Ms. Tabitha Osler, who holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts, and a Masters in Fashion/Design. The fabric used to make fairechild products is produced from recycled plastic containers, and the products themselves are fully recyclable.
