Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

The Tremblay Leadership Center o/a PLAY NICE in the Sandbox System aims to make the initial stages of their Sandbox System more engaging and enjoyable for users. The current system includes two key steps: Conflict Resolution and Leadership Training. The goal is to review the existing design and functionality of these steps, collect user feedback, and identify areas for improvement. The project will involve researching gamification techniques, brainstorming and designing playful elements, and testing these new designs with real users. The ultimate objective is to enhance user engagement and satisfaction in the early stages of the Sandbox System.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

Current System Evaluation:

  • Review the existing design and functionality of Step 1 and Step 2 of the Sandbox System.

Step 1: Conflict Resolution

Step One of the Sandbox System restores positive relationships from conflict with mediation or workplace restorations which support all who are affected.

Step 2: Leadership Training

Winning in the NEW Workplace Sandbox benefits everyone. Build capacity for productivity with Sandbox Training for your entire team.

  • Collect user feedback on the current experience to identify areas for improvement.

Research Gamification Techniques:

  • Investigate gamification strategies and elements (e.g., rewards, challenges, leaderboards, floor mats, board games, sandbox themed activities, building as a team, toys, tools, etc. ) that can be applied to similar systems.

Brainstorm and Design:

  • Conduct brainstorming sessions to generate ideas for making the steps more playful.
  • Create mock-ups or prototypes incorporating gamification elements.

User Testing:

  • Develop a test plan to evaluate the new designs with real users.
  • Gather feedback on the playfulness, engagement, and overall experience.

Analyze Feedback:

  • Analyze user feedback and performance data from the testing phase to assess the effectiveness of the changes.

Implementation Plan:

  • Develop a plan for implementing the refined design into the Sandbox System.

Report and Presentation:

  • Create a report detailing the design changes, user feedback, and final recommendations for enhancing the playfulness of Step 1 and Step 2.
