Main goal:

Develop an on-line prenatal education course for the Black community.

This project includes:

  • Orientation with the organization’s brand, culture, assets and communication style
  • Assessing existing on-line training platforms and recommending the best platform for this course.
  • Gathering relevant course design and content information.
  • Assisting in designing the course material
  • Assisting in developing first iteration of course (minimum viable product)

Students are expected to:

  • Build upon previous project work
  • Write the text based content for 3 modules
  • Research chosen topics
  • Edit the content for 3 additional modules
Deliverables
  • Familiarize yourself with the organization and the provided documents
  • Brainstorm and choose topics
  • Research content for 3 agreed upon topics
  • Create modules for each topic. Each module should include:

- Learning objectives

- Topic summary

- Relevance to Black community

- Additional resources: (Can include websites, books, podcasts, movies, organizations etc)

- Definitions (if needed)

- References

Mentorship

Students will be provided with:

  • Resource documents and proposals detailing the project
  • Weekly meetings and ongoing feedback
  • Peer support
