Fundraising Merchandise Design 2023

Ancestral Hands Midwives is looking to diversify our revenue by creating our own line of Afrocentric merchandise. We believe this project will require:Develop merchandise designs (Ex. t-shirt designs, African prints)Create digital mock-upsCreate electronic marketing designs and templatesAssist with research and initial steps of setting up an e-commerce siteThe final deliverables include:File of finalized designs and merchandise mock-ups1 Marketing campaign including post and reel templatesWe are excited to work with students who support our mission and want to have fun creating unique merchandise. Whether you're a fashion student, artist or you're just interested in what we do, we want to work with you.

Social Media Campaign for Non Profit Organization

Ancestral Hands Midwives is looking for help creating new and engaging social media content. Students would be expected to:Review existing content and conduct a SWOT analysisConducting social media research for the latest trends to develop infographics materials for the followersCreate social media posts (in the form of a one-month content calendar planned out in detail)Design content for Instagram, TikTok and YouTubeConvert existing videos into IG and TikTok contentProvide recommendations of additional content to createThe goal of the campaign is to build brand awareness, gain followers and spread awareness about maternal health disparities. Students can create content using Canva (preferred) or any software, but will need to ensure posts are the proper size for the intended social media platform and that captions adhere to character limits for the given platform. If you're a storyteller, creative writer, content creator and/or have an interest in Black maternal health, we would love to work with you.

New Product Design

Ancestral Hands Midwives is looking to diversity our revenue by creating our own line of Afrocentric merchandise. As a non profit organization we don't want to spend all of our time asking for funding, instead want to create our own source of revenue by selling unique products that align with our values.We believe this project will require:Brainstorm merchandise ideasResearching potential manufacturers and obtain quotesBrainstorm t-shirt design ideasDeveloping a prototype of a recommended product designThe final deliverables include: A report on the research, findings, and general design recommendations for prototype you developed.Provide a recommended design and manufacturer for a t-shirt that we can sell as a fundraiser.We are excited to work with students who support our mission and want to have fun creating unique merchandise. Directory creation

At Ancestral Hands Midwives one of our main goals is to provide the Black community with equitable access to high quality health care. To achieve this we need your help to create a Black healthcare provider directory. The directory should be built using a Wordpress plugin.Students should be prepared to:Research Wordpress directory plugins to find the best one to use for this project.Build a fully-functioning user friendly directory that can be added to our existing website. Add providers existing providers to the directory.Research and compile a list of providers that can be added to the directory. Add providers once approved. Upon completion provide instructions on how we can add providers to the directory ourselves.Join us if you have the skills and desire to work on this important project.
