Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

Centre Solaris is organizing live and online auctions to raise funds for its sports programs for underprivileged kids. For an auction to be successful, we need to conduct a campaign to solicit donations of auction items from companies that support kids' health and well-being. The auction items may include: sports equipment, accessories, and services, memorabilia, store gift cards, gift baskets, gift certificates for experiences, personal care services, restaurants, hotel stay, travel, etc., just to name some of the options.

The students will be building lists of sponsors, creating awareness of Solaris programs and services among sponsors and supports, and generating auction items donations for the organization.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

Students will perform the following activities:

- To select a list of potential sponsors;

- To prepare presentation materials;

- To contact potential sponsors via emails or phone, or submission forms;

- To develop relationships with new sponsors;

- Maintain a database of sponsors and items donated.

At the end of the project, students will have to provide a report indicating what companies they have been targeting, how many leads are generated, results and feedback from sponsors, and follow-up actions with sponsors.

How will you support learners in completing the project?

Centre Solaris can provide 5 hours of mentorship and supervision for each participating student.
