"Stick, Stay, Grow" Fundraising Campaign
Who am I? I'm an author. I've written a graphic memoir about my fertility journey. I'm now writing the sequel called "Stick, Stay, Grow," which talks about the conception, high risk pregnancy, NICU life (Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit) and at-home life as a single mom by choice of the twins that I finally carried to term. My current challenge. For this book I need to hire an illustrator. I need to raise $40,000 to pay for her wages. I also need help with marketing research and social media to gain traction for the project. My desired outcome. High risk pregnancies and life in the NICU are things that are rarely talked about. "Stick, Stay, Grow" aims to educate people about the realities of difficult pregnancies and the challenges and trauma that can come from them. By hiring an illustrator, the book will have the proper impact on the readers. Student's day-to-day Creating material to make the campaign as high-impact as possible Create interesting, engaging, relevant digital content to promote the book to the general world on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok and any other platform that would be relevant. Marketing the campaign to prospective donors Write blog articles, email newsletters/sequences and other content pieces on assigned topics Assist with a social media video launch to promote our organization Evaluate recent successful user-generated campaigns, preferably in our sector Identify media outlets that are most beneficial to share our story Reach out to clinics, counsellors, midwives, doulas, and other people in the health sector (both traditional and Western) who have (in)fertility as part of their practice to ask them to support the campaign and pre-order the book for themselves and their clients. A student or team with excellent writing and sales skills would be the ideal candidate for this project.
