GEMS is a social learning community app for kids. Where learning is social! Our app is tailored to kids 13 & under and our content teaches kids about investing, social media, cryptocurrency, coding, reading, math, history, current affairs, pop culture, and social issues. We distribute native short-form videos about current events on TikTok and Instagram Reels. We are hiring an intern to join our American TikTok/Reels/Snapchat team and to accelerate our growth trajectory on these platforms. This position can be based remotely as project-based work. We are looking for someone who is willing to LEARN how to use TikTok, Snapchat, & Instagram AD Manager to create, post, and market content that will reach out target audiences: 1. Parents of kids 13 & under 2. Educators/Teachers/Content Creators who teach and target kids 13 & under 3. Kids 13 & under Your responsibilities will be: Assist with keyword research, social listening, analysis/insights/recommendations Help structure and setup campaigns Assist with day-to-day paid search and paid social campaign management Aid in developing and optimizing ads Assist with developing SEO recommendations QA implementation of SEO recommendations Prepare templates for client deliverables Collect analytics data and populate monthly/quarterly metrics reports Assist with demonstrating value against all initiatives by providing monthly/quarterly metrics reports Assist team members with various ad hoc requests including note-taking, defining next steps, scheduling meetings, etc., to ensure client satisfaction Work with Project Management as necessary to ensure that all tasks are tracked, managed, and delivered in a timely manner Research and keep up on industry trends Assist with managing in-house search marketing and social media campaigns aimed at obtaining new business Assist with CRM data entry for new business Pitch and produce (writing and editing) engaging pieces of content for TikTok/ Reels / YouTube Shorts Curating stories using user-generated content on TikTok Creating follow-up video adaptations in vertical format for TikTok Writing scripts for stories and short-form videos Producing onsite snaps during events Producing well-edited and dynamic short videos for TikTok & Instagram Reels & YouTube shorts Developing new original formats on TikTok and innovative forms of engagement with the platform Occasionally appearing on camera or voiceover Analyzing the content performance of each platform This is a great project for students to prove their digital marketing expertise to future employers, as the impact of their work on this project can be easily measured and communicated.

NFT Marketplace Website

We are creating an NFT marketplace to allow educators to monetize their learning content. The marketplace will bring buyers (other educators, parents, other learning providers) together with sellers (educators, digital educational content creators, teachers) in an exchange of educational content using blockchain NFT smart contracts to "copyright" the content. The seller - can either pay to MINT their video and sell on the marketplace OR get it minted for at no monetary cost but by giving 1 copy to the platform for commercial use in exchange for 1 minted NFT. The buyer - can buy with crypto OR fiat currency a minted NFT video of educational content that they can reuse for personal or commercial use. We would like students to focus on: Selecting the best technologies for creating a real-time application. Creating an NFT marketplace for video content. For UI design needs we will pair the student with UI designer to build what the student needs. We will assign the student a project manager to help them plan and deliver the project end to end. A few areas of specific interest for us include: The reasoning behind the technologies is chosen. Documentation around models and attributes used to model any data. A brief wireframe or mock-up of the resulting system’s user interface. The product roadmap used to create the system and implementation plan including a list of user stories detailing all possible interactions with the system. The source code for the system, preferably in a source control system such as Git. A final presentation explaining what you built, what worked well, and what you would change.

The LevelUp project will pay each student 1400 CAD if you complete the following project tasks listed below : To complete this option EACH student MUST complete a total of 30 blog posts with at least 1500 words by March 31, 2022. *This is easy because you get to write to kids! Each student MUST select one of these TOPICS mapped to an age group to create a 1500 word blog post . Note the goal is NOT to exceed a total of 80 hours to complete the project o so do NOT overthink the creation. Remember your readers are ages 4-13 years old.

The LevelUp project will pay each student 1400 CAD if you complete the following project tasks listed below : To complete this option EACH student MUST complete a total of 60 videos by March 31, 2022. *This is easy because it's TikTok fun! This task option is for the personalities who like to socialize and create video content! EACH student MUST select one of the Video Options HERE to create an educational video for kids ages 4 to 13 years old. Each video will be targeted towards a single age group and not the full range of ages. Please read carefully the requirements for each option. After you have met all the requirements of the video feel free to bring your creative energy to the video! EACH video MUST be at least 1 minute LONG and ideally no more than 15 minutes LONG. We would like students to help us with creating k8 content that is aligned with our vision, mission, and sector. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization. We are GEMS, a social media learning platform for kids & tweens. We are hiring 10 interns to create bite-sized k8 video content for our k8 library. To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will: Assist with a social media video launch to promote our organization Assist with blog writing & PR releases. Evaluate recent successful user-generated campaigns, preferably in our sector Identify media outlets that are most beneficial to share our story Ultimately, you will be working on content creation for our organization, including video, social media, and other collateral that we can use as go-to marketing tools. If you like the sound of our culture, and are ready to tackle this challenge with us, then we'd love to hear from you. A student or team with excellent writing and video skills would be the ideal candidate for this project.
