I really enjoyed this internship! I learned about public transportation and what it takes to institute passenger rail service, an important project as we try to become more sustainable as a society.

This is a team of passionate, knowledgeable and well educated group of people driven by a desire to promote the evolution of transportation methods in various different settings. Providing the opportunity to interact with specialists within the field and here their lessons and perspectives. I had a great time working with a team of young and motivated individuals, and I am leaving this experience knowing infinitely more than I did before about both passenger rail public transportation more broadly!

Integrated.Travel Research and Development is a company dedicated to Alberta's zero-emission goal in the transportation sector. The research scope has provided me with valuable insight into the transport industry and the prospect of locomotives operated using hydrogen fuel cell technology.

Overall, I enjoyed working on the Hydrogen Fuel Cell Locomotive Retrofit project. It is a significant step towards sustainable transportation, offering promising environmental benefits. However, ensuring seamless integration and addressing any technological challenges will be crucial for its success. Looking forward to seeing further advancements in this innovative initiative.

Working with Integrated Travel on this project has been a great learning experience. I have gained valuable knowledge and insights that have further refined my research and analytical skills.

I particularly enjoyed working on the Average Annual Daily Traffic (AADT) analysis. This aspect of the project was not only fascinating but also highly rewarding. I appreciated the opportunity to dive deep into traffic data, break it down by time, day, month, and vehicle type, and contribute to the development of sustainable transportation solutions. The AADT analysis work allowed me to apply my skills in a meaningful way and see the direct impact of my contributions on the project

Working on this project for ITRD has been an insightful opportunity and learning experience. Vern’s passion for these projects truly shows and his expansive network of people and organizations helped move the project forward.
