The project will be based around gathering all of the content needed for a website upgrade. The sitemap and the content from this project will be used as the basis for the creation of a new website. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: · Make a listing of the types of content needed for the website, including: page content, testimonials, product description, company description, mission statements, vision statement, company values, etc. · Make a listing of all the different pages that exist and all of the different buttons and call to actions · To create an overall sitemap to help identify the relationship between all of the pages · Write out some basic FAQ’s · Organize the content DELIVERABLES · Written report detailing the items outlined in the project description

Mobile app to create and manage bucket list

Background: Bucket List Vacations (BLV) is a travel agency dedicated to planning premium trips to help people check items off their bucket list. We are seeking development of a mobile application that will give people the opportunity to create and manage their bucket list and will allow BLV try to help the users achieve their bucket list items which are entered into the app. Getting the UX/UI Capstone students involved on this project to utilize a research based approach to building the prototype will be a great way to bring this project to life. Motivation: I just found out earlier this year that my Mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. When she was in the hospital for surgery, she was talking about all the places that she still wants to see before her time comes. This is what motivated me to pursue this project. After hearing the news of a terminal illness for a loved one, it can be very difficult to feel motivated or find the energy to plan trips. This is why we want to help people achieve as many bucket list items and create as many family memories as they can before they pass, while helping take the stress out of planning. Ideas for Feature List: · Add bucket list items to your bucket list (Name, Location, Date to complete by, Budget) · Add sub-bucket list items (e.g. Rome could be a bucket list item and then you could add the Colosseum as a sub-item). · Allow people to plan a trip. (e.g. Europe Trip, with main destinations and sub-items, to help people follow a schedule for their trip) · Add a bucket list category (e.g. Family, Travel, Financial, Physical, Experimental, Influence). · Allow users to view the most common bucket list items or items in their area · Use machine learning to suggest potential bucket list items to people using their interests and also suggest popular bucket list items in their area Student Learning Experience: This project would give the students the opportunity to build a mobile app from the ground up. The students would also get to learn how to monetize a mobile application and would get to learn how a business plan is launched for taking the product to market. BLV would also provide mentorship from Technical Leads that work at various Seed and Series A start-ups. Anticipated Expenses: BLV would provide access to all required software licenses, hosting, and databases required to complete the project. Project Deliverables: 1. Prototype of the app 2. 30 minute presentation on research, findings, and justifications of the proposed design with a report Company Will Provide: 1. Dedicated contact who is available to answer periodic emails or phone calls over the duration of the project. We will be actively engaged throughout the entire project. 2. Details Our organization is looking to develop a mobile application that will allow users to create and manage their bucket list. We currently operate as a travel agency and want to make it our goal to help people achieve their bucket list items. The primary focus for the project will be: Application Development - Selecting the best technologies for creating a fully-functioning app (iOS, Android, and PWA) Software Architecture Development - Architecting the software of a new product The preferred skills for this project include a knowledge of: JavaScript/Typescript, React, HTML and CSS Basic knowledge, React native, Node.js, Graph, SQL/Postgres, Basic Relational Database Knowledge. Our goal at the end of this experience is: Application Development - For the students to create a fully functioning application. Software Architecture Development - For the students to provide a solution to ensure optimal performance and sustainability. Other duties the student may complete could include : Software vendor research and evaluation Assisting with other process improvement projects We will plan to communicate with our virtual intern using these communication tools: company slack, email, and zoom

Bucket List Vacations - Research + Social Media Content Creation

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project will be based around researching creating ideas for bucket list trips. The students will research the most popular destinations and items on peoples bucket list and will create content for these trips that can be used across multiple platforms. KEY PROJECT ACTIVITIES: · Will research the most popular bucket list trip items. · Will put together an approximate budget for each trip. · Will write out a short summary of the trip details. · Will provide examples of pictures that can be used for the bucket list trip posts. The pictures can be selected from a list of pictures provided by Bucket List Vacations. FINAL DELIVERABLES · Power Point Presentation of 100 bucket list trip destinations with a short description of the trip, budget, and possible pictures for each PROJECT DETAILS: · Project will be provided in English · The project can start at the earliest cohort available · The project will require a commitment of 70 hours per student for 5 students
