web accessibility testing scheduling researchWe would like to collaborate with students to conduct accessibility tests on our website with pre-identified customers.
This will involve several different steps for the students, including:
- Conducting background research on disabilities and methods of evaluating accessibility.
- Reaching out to customers and scheduling interviews.
- Familiarizing themselves with the test tasks that should be administered.
- Conducting accessibility tests remotely and following up with customers to thank them for their participation.
- Analyzing and reporting the metrics / results of the tests.
Bonus steps in the process would also include:
- Recommending website improvements based on findings.
By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:
- Understanding of different disabilities and factors that affect a websiteโs accessibility
- Understanding of our accessibility testing procedure
- Analysis of accessibility testing results
Bonus steps would include:
- Recommending improvements for our website
Final deliverables should include:
- A final report.
- A 10-minute presentation.
Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:
- Our website, products and services
- Our current understanding of our websiteโs accessibility features
- Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter.
