The project seeks to create engaging and informative content that can be shared through podcasts and social media platforms, such as Instagram. This initiative will help bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical caregiving strategies, making valuable information accessible to a broader audience. The project will involve researching relevant topics, developing content strategies, and producing multimedia content that resonates with caregivers and community members. By leveraging digital platforms, BetterLTC hopes to foster a more informed and supportive community for older adults.
- Research and identify key topics related to caring with older adults
- Develop a content strategy for podcasts and social media.
- Produce and edit podcast episodes.
- Create visually appealing and informative Instagram posts.
The project will result in a series of podcast episodes and Instagram posts designed to educate and engage the community on eldercare topics. Deliverables include:
- A minimum of three podcast episodes, each 15-20 minutes long, covering different aspects of older adult care, including abstract, tile, and upload to PodBean.
- At least five Instagram posts, including graphics and captions, to complement the podcast content.
- A content calendar outlining the release schedule for both podcasts and social media posts.
- A brief report summarizing the research findings and content strategy.
Providing specialized, in-depth knowledge and general industry insights for a comprehensive understanding.
Sharing knowledge in specific technical skills, techniques, methodologies required for the project.
Direct involvement in project tasks, offering guidance, and demonstrating techniques.
Providing access to necessary tools, software, and resources required for project completion.
Scheduled check-ins to discuss progress, address challenges, and provide feedback.

About the company
BetterLTC (led by Dr. Roslyn M. Compton) was established in 2013, becoming a not-for-profit organization in 2025. The team is interprofessional, national and international, and intergenerational (age range 18-85 years; 15 older adults between 65-85 years of age). Through our collaborations and partnerships with for-profit and not-for-profit community organizations, BetterLTC acts through knowledge mobilization, education, advocacy, and policy to challenge ageist healthcare services to support older adults to grow older in their choice of place with the support and services needed. Current partners include Sherbrooke Community Centre, Saskatoon; Golden Health Care Management Inc., Saskatoon; 3 rural and 3 urban long-term care homes in Saskatchewan; Saskatoon Fire Services; College of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Alberta; College of Pharmacy and Nutrition, University of Saskatchewan; St. Thomas More College, Saskatoon; University of Regina, Regina; Memory Café, Crossmount Saskatoon; Saskatoon Council on Aging; Saskatchewan Long-term Care Network; Interprofessional Education, USask Health Science; the Saskatchewan Health Authority; Canadian Gerontological Nursing Association; Nav-CARE, British Columbia; and, the Canadian Red Cross.
