marketingChallenge outline: We’d like to explore the feasibility for a new festival focused on emerging talent (both backstage and on stage) that is run as a social enterprise in Brighton. We want the festival to be as sustainable as possible. The acts will primarily be from the world of music and spoken word. We envision the festival to be made of one music stage and a second stage for poetry, but we’re open to other ideas for stages. Key aims/objectives: 1) What is our competition for this type of event (both local and national)? 2) Pricing and marketing – how do we attract a young/diverse/student audience? 3) How important is sustainability/social good to this audience? What sustainability/social good practices should we consider adopting to make the festival a success? 4) What challenges should we expect to face (both before and during the event)?
