What is the main goal for this project?

The goal of this project is to develop a robotic calibration system that aligns the robotic arm with the artistic canvas to a sub millimeter accuracy. This will involve several different steps for the students, including:


- Designing a calibration system that can accurately align the robotic arm with the canvas.


- Developing software that can control the robotic arm and ensure accuracy.


- Optimizing software runtime performance and assessing areas for improvement.


- Researching other variables that can improve the accuracy of the calibration system.


- Accounting for additional variables in the calibration system software.


- Testing the developed software and making improvements based on additional data.


What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:


- Understanding of the calibration system and its accuracy requirements.


- Understanding of variables that affect the accuracy of the calibration system.


- Identification of areas for future improvement of the software.
