Details

The main goal for the project is to create a user-friendly website frame for a mobile site that will allow councilors to easily log blood sugar levels during sports camps. The website should be intuitive, easy to navigate, and provide a seamless experience for users to input and access blood sugar data.

This will involve several different steps for the students, including:

- Researching best practices for mobile site UX design

- Creating wireframes and mockups for the website frame

- Incorporating features for blood sugar input and tracking

- Testing the website frame for usability and functionality

- Iterating on the design based on feedback and testing results

Deliverables

By the end of the project, students should complete the following tasks:

- Research report on best practices for mobile site UX design

- Wireframes and mockups for the website frame

- Functioning prototype of the website frame with blood sugar input and tracking features

- Usability testing report with findings and recommendations for improvements

- Final design iteration based on testing results and feedback

Final deliverables:

- A fully designed and functional website frame for blood sugar logs

- Documentation of the design process and testing results

- Presentation of the website frame and its features

Mentorship

The student will receive training and ongoing support by Operations Manager and Project Manager. They will be guided through the organization's strategic plan and how it aligns with the project strategies. They will be part of a collaborative, innovative and team-oriented environment. They will have the opportunity to attend weekly meetings with the larger team at ICD in addition to smaller meetings with those involved in the web development project.

They will be gaining hands on experience creating relevant content, implementing and executing objectives. Students will always be provided with an opportunity to ask questions and have them addressed along with weekly check-ins with the ICD Team. This is an excellent opportunity for students to assimilate a multitude of skills and develop professionally. Students gain applicable knowledge and experience in real life context.
