What is the main goal for this project?

Koble creates better ways to experience concerts! Our product currently focuses on finding concerts and selling tickets, and we would like to expand it further to include the during-concert experience. Our mission is to "Connect Fans with Bands", and this project would help us further achieve our goal.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

Students will be working to develop an LED bracelet and transmitter to control the bracelets, which will be used during the concerts by attendees.

  1. Bracelet needs to contain an LED and circuit with a RF and bluetooth receiver so that the LED(s) can be controlled by a transmitter and a phone though an app (TBC)
  2. Transmitter needs to be able to control LED bracelets so the lights can change for each bracelet. Lights should also be able to change separately for bracelets in different sections of the stadium. Transmitter should be easily controlled through a GUI (may be app).
  3. Potential additions: Lights in the bracelet can be changed by using bluetooth (e.g. through a phone app) and/or through motion (bracelet would need to detect and handle motion). Bracelet can synced with phone notifications for lighting up outside concerts.

In addition to lights, the bracelets can also be used for "tapping-in" to concerts and/or purchasing from concessions. Scope will be decided before the project starts.
