Brain Gym® Canada is pleased to announce the creation of a new ‘virtual’ internship position for a marketing student or team.

This is for a program of acting, coaching and design activities for theatre. The market segment is people who are students of theatre, developing actors and designers, and professional actors who need coaching or are auditioning.

The instructor, Robert Greenwood, has chaired Acting-Directing Programs at the University of Oklahoma and the University of Calgary, performed and taught in 23 countries on 5 continents and former students are professionals in theatre, film and television in Canada, the United States, U.K., Croatia, Iran, Tunisia, Germany and Mexico. He has won awards in theatre in Canada, the United States, Poland, Mexico, Croatia and Iran for his performances and his teaching.

The classes are grounded in basic skills for the mind, emotions, body and voice to let people experience acting without judgement, opinions or attitudes that can and often do get in the way of creativity, enjoyment and understanding of theatre arts. People who have experienced his classes in the past have applied the techniques to character development, emotional honesty and integrity, vocal production, physical relaxation – anywhere to which their understanding of technique and their imaginations can carry them.

We are looking for students to create an effective marketing plan.

The primary focus for the student/team will be:

  • Market Research - Investigate the landscape; perform market segmentation to identify the ideal target market; develop a pricing strategy; identify expansion opportunities; identify key messaging.
  • SEO Strategy & Recommendations - Develop and implement an SEO strategy; provide content suggestions and recommendations to increase search visibility; increase our inbound traffic and optimize the customer journey; increase inbound leads.
  • Strategic Social Media Marketing - Develop and implement strategies for improving our online presence and increasing engagement; create a content calendar; creating useable social media and blog posts.

Our goal at the end of this experience is:

  • Market Research - For the student(s) to help us gain a better understanding of our target market and ensure we are optimally positioned and our product and pricing aligns with our target sector/customer.
  • SEO Strategy & Recommendations - For the student(s) to help us generate more traffic and revenue through search engines.
  • Strategic Social Media Marketing - For the student(s) to help us improve our online presence, reach more customers, and effectively promote our brand through compelling content.

Other duties the student may complete could include:

  • Content development, including social posts, blog posts, LinkedIn articles, and website copy.

We will plan to communicate with our virtual intern(s) using these communication tools: Riipen messaging, email

Primary contact: Robert Greenwood, Instructor

Secondary contact: Dana Luebke, Brain Gym Canada Director
