Our organization is passionate about promoting the love for one's natural hair and dark skin complexions We ​​want to increase awareness about skin bleaching, chemical hair relaxing and colorism.

We want to work with students to design an awareness contest where contestants promote our cause and win rewards.

This will involve several different steps for the students, including:

  • Familiarizing themselves with our organization’s goals and campaigns.
  • Designing the contest structure and assessment criteria.
  • Creating materials to promote the contest.
  • Running the contest online and collecting submissions.
  • Recommending ideas for future awareness campaigns.

Bonus steps in the process would also include:

  • Assisting in assessing submissions and selecting winners.
Deliverables

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:

  • Familiarity with our goals and campaigns
  • Design of an awareness contest
  • Creation of promotional materials
  • Collection of contest submissions

Bonus steps would include:

  • Assessing submissions and selecting winners
  • Recommending ideas for future events

Final deliverables should include

  • A 10-minute presentation.
Mentorship

Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:

  • Our organization’s mission and goals
  • Our awareness campaigns
  • Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter.
